The top 5 things-to-consider-when-making-hash-browns:

  • paprika
  • shape of the potatoes–preferably cubes, approximately 1/2″ square (no shreds or round slices!)
  • onions and green peppers
  • cooking surface–no mixing with meat juices
  • browness–slightly browned and crispy on the outside only!
