Good Grief!

Someone asked if I’d ever found the source of my computer’s mysterious bling-bling noise. I figured it out but never updated the post because the truth is just too embarrassing.

The noise was never coming from my computer. The guy-next-door to boss-across-the-hall recently increased his computer’s volume, making the sound effects audible enough to hear from my office but muted enough to seem like they were coming from my own workstation. Perhaps my initial reaction (i.e., someone messed around with my computer!) was a tad paranoid. Someone definitely came in here and took my green dry-erase marker, though.
