Another font question

So those of us who are naturally paranoid and distrusting of html email have our plain text musings automatically written off as boring? Wait, don’t answer that.
Geeky B raises an interesting point. His caution is wise; after all, transmitting a virus or other nastiness would surely make a bad impression. Does caution = dullsville? Can Geeky B date outside of the non-geek community? Will he be able to survive without the help of animated .gifs?
I think so. Just because an inappropriate and distracting font causes raised eyebrows doesn’t mean that a plain font is equally bothersome. Content is still more important than typeface, pictures, and stationery*. So go forth, Geeky B, and woo ‘em with words!
*A man once courted me by e-mailing animated Hello Kitty pictures. Though I loved seeing Hello Kitty skip across the screen, it was his wit and smart writing that won the day.

I am with GeekyB. I convert all my incoming email to plain text, so the font issue would never come up, and I only send in plain text.
On this issue, I will not budge.
