Boss-across-the-hall update
Published by Becky S May 27th, 2004 in boss-across-the-hallHe has severely limited the team’s freedom of speech by hiring an executive’s son to be our summer intern. Even worse, the intern will be using this computer during my leave–where the hell am I gonna hide the MP3s and resumé drafts?

Better back those puppies up to floppy disk. Not the MP3s so much as the resumes…. the boss may get the idea you are looking for greener pastures (like, duh, in todays corporate environment you’d be fool not to be….)
Thanks, Penny! What’s a floppy disk?
:D Oh you child! Why I remember when PC’s only came with floppy drives. Beleive it or not the operation system used to fit on one. Never mind, just use typepad’s file manager and upload them. Or e-mail them to your personal e-mail account. Or use some other new-fangled way an old programmer like me may not be aware of….
Heh heh…I’m just funnin’ with ya Penny. Believe it or not, there’s COBOL and IMS on that resume o’ mine.
I knew that….
Since you’ve started your leave, I guess my “Take the hard drive with you” suggestion is too late to be of any help. So what did you do?
I saved off my resumes and deleted them. I didn’t have time to burn the MP3s, so I left ‘em on the hard drive. I hope intern guy enjoys them!
