Mix of the Week
Published by Becky S June 23rd, 2004 in artsA new Good Grief! mix of the week is ready to go, but I scrapped the mp3 toy because it’s time consuming and behaves erratically. I found out how to make an “m3u” file, which will hopefully work better.
This week’s mix is all fluff and frivolity:
- Fountains of Wayne – Denise. Sounds like a roller rink song from back in the day. Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la…
- Postal Service – Such Great Heights. All electronic-y. Remember listening to Erasure in high school?
- Abra Moore – Strangest Places. A tribute to Canada.
- David Garza – Drone. Groovy piano.
- Ike Reilly – Commie Drives a Nova. I love him!
- Slobberbone – That is All. Someone told me that Slobberbone is recommended by the Old 97s.
- Amr Diab – Amarain. What is this song is about?
- Dandy Warhols – Get Off. Such a catchy tune. I suspect that the lyrics might be offensive, so I don’t listen to them.
