Oops…I did it again
Published by Becky S July 12th, 2004 in miscellaneous fluffOkay, all of us do something imprudent from time to time. So don’t judge me. So what if I put the iTunes store on my computer and downloaded a Britney Spears song? And it wasn’t a one-click shopping mishap—I did it on purpose. I searched for Britney Spears, picked the track, and clicky clicky, I’m the proud owner of Oops…I Did it Again.
Shut up. It’s a catchy song, dammit.

As long as it makes you happy, that is all that matters.
There is no accounting for taste.
You’re lucky - on the UK version of iTunes I can’t get “Oops…I Did It Again”. I can only get Britney’s new single “Everytime (The Scumfrog Vocal Mix.) Not that I was looking for it - I was just browsing, obviously…..
I just got back from vacation with my family horde and found out that my 7 year old niece did a dance piece during the school year to Toxic–so of course we had to download it for her to reinact the moves. A bit scarry to be choreography Brittany at that age, but she’s from Texas.
UK iTunes has different songs? Why does Apple want to inflame anti-US sentiment by depriving the world of Britney Spears?
WOW!
hmm
going to have to rethink my daily reads
that’s just wrong.
Okay, so what am I doing wrong? I’ve tried a number of times to download songs on my daughter’s new emac, but every time I move a song into the shopping cart–said song *would* be by Britney Speers if we didn’t already own every CD in her oeuvre–it does no such thing and whisks me away to, I think, the main music page again.
Alas, Debra, I am too new to iTunes to understand why Britney Spears would take over your shopping cart. Anyway, shopping carts are for wimps–what you need is one-click purchasing power!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Ah, well, it didn’t want to download for me either. Truly Britney is an evil genius.
It *is* a catchy song, and I’m reminded of the quote by Ms Spears on the very topic of how hard those darn things are to come up with:
“Anyone can sit down write a boring, artistic song. Pop music is the hardest s— to write.” — BRITNEY SPEARS
