I wonder if Viggo is a Pat’s man or a Geno’s man?

The dirty little Philadelphia secret is that neither Pat’s nor Geno’s makes the best Philly cheesesteaks.
Sorry, but the steak isn’t chopped right, and it’s got too much gristle.
The much better cheesesteaks are on South Street - or in Norristown.

A even dirtier little Philadelphia secret is that the best Philly cheesesteak is made in Berks County.
Even dirtier was Viggo’s hair in the LOTR. I mean, come on. They have magic rings and glowing swords but no shampoo in Middle Earth?
Uh, hello, but this entry is not about cheesesteaks. It is about Viggo and my broken heart. How can you think about food at a time like this?
Now that I know who this Viggo person is I have to agree with Clair: Dirty hair == stinky hair. Do they brush their teeth in Middle Earth? What about bathing?
See, at least I can stay on subject! (Although I am thinking about the cheesteak that I got at the Phils game Sunday too…hmmm, Whiz)
BTW, The Geno’s website is so much better. I hate scrolling text! And you would think that in this day of inexpensive digital cameras Mr. Pat could take a better picture of his restaurant.

Do you know about Tasty Kakes? I have a friend from Philly who’s obssessed with them and gets them shipped down to Atlanta. Are they really Philly’s best kept secret?
Personally, I don’t care for the Tasty Kakes but of course I’m a New Yorker in Philly.
Oh, and the scrolling offends my delicate web sensibilities.
Jen asks a very complex question. One, in fact, that is best addressed in its own post at some point in the future.
Don’t listen to Scott about the Tasty Kakes. He also doesn’t like Lord of the Rings, beer, or scrolling text, so his judgement is questionable.
The best Philly Cheesesteaks can be found at any pizza place in roxborough-manayunk and THE ABSOLUTE BEST IS at Mama’s Pizzeria in Bala Cynwyd!!! THEY’RE HUGE!!!!!! AND DELICIOUS
