This is absoultely outrageous! i remember when they added the rudy bear to the show. Now it is just diminishing! No Tree, No Fountains, No Train, Two frostys are gone. Is it financial diffuculties? There must be some way to restore the show to its origional grandeur. Maybe sponsorship or something! It’s an hisotic part of this city. In a time and age when peopel are preserving history so well, why is this slipping away. It was so great, its a shame that it is dissappearing so quickly

I remember going to Wanamakers back in the 80s in grade school. I loved the train. And then my mom and I got lost from the class trip chaperones because she decided to do some shopping.

I last saw it three years ago and the fountains were “closed for maintenance.” Now the TREE is gone too?

Next year: Steven Spielberg takes over and all the wooden soldiers’ rifles will be replaced with walkie-talkies.

I see what you mean - the older version was much better. The new one is neither ‘minimalist classy’ nor ‘extravagant kitsch’. One for the ‘I love you, I hate you’ column, perhaps?
