Well, ok--two of the people are me, so it was easy to get permission for those pics. For the other two, I had to be very sneaky.

I was surprised to see the Persistence of Memory--like you said, I thought it would be in Philly for the Dali show. It was smaller than I'd imagined.

And so many Picassos. It was hard to absorb anything, though, with the crowds and the sheer magnitude of it all.

Scott! You are going to do the Rocky Run wearing nothing the strategically placed lobsters?!? Can I take pictures?

very metal, thanks for the suggestion. I checked out some iTunes previews; I could play The Bad Plus at home, but I doubt I'd have the patience to sit through an entire set of jazz (or jam bands, or any other genre subject to long, tedious solos).

I am a picky pain in the ass.

Scott, I don't remember seeing too many fancy clothes at the Met, but it's been a few years. I'll be curious to see what people are wearing to the Dali exhibit on Saturday.

Exciting jazz show news! OK, "exciting" being a verrry relative term, especially preceding "jazz show". Anyway, of interest if you like The Bad Plus, they're playing in your neck of the woods, uh, tomorrow:

March
1 PHILADELPHIA, PA — Zellerbach Theatre
