Career 3: personal coaching
Published by Becky S March 30th, 2005 in miscellaneous fluff
Okay, so there are flaws in the shepherding career change idea. Apparently this occupation is not as pastoral as I had envisioned. Also, I don’t want to work outside in bad weather.
So now I am going to be a personal life coach:
- Coaching is the world’s second-fastest growing business skill.
- Coaching is a relatively new and different profession. Unlike psychology and counseling, coaching doesn’t claim to have the answers.
- “A coach is a specialist in coaching and need not be a specialist in any other field.”
Obviously, I am totally qualified to help you maximize your potential. And to thank Good Grief! readers for supporting my various careers, I am offering a special: send in your most vexing problem, and I will coach you for free!*
* Limited time only. Some restrictions apply.

Type E, put down the coffee and stop pressing the comment submit button! Help is on the way!
Actually, help is on the way for everyone. These problems are so diverse and interesting that they may require their own entries.
Oh, and very metal, are you saying that your most vexing problem in life is the infield fly rule? Must be nice… Coincidentally, the infield fly rule was explained in Balls, the book I’m currently reading, so I have an answer. Just not right now.
I need a job. Can a life coach help with that? Perhaps I should just become a life coach myself.
I’ve often wondered what can go up a chimney down but can’t go down a chimney up.
