NO NO NO you people are doing it all wrong! the eyes may be big and black, but they still have the colourful iris borders around the pupils!

Yaaah! That was creepy — in an unexpected sort of way. You look… uh, great… like that.

I think there is some sort of (neurological?) disease that cats get where their pupils go all huge like that. I think it’s pretty serious, too. Anyway, hooray for Japanese trends!
