Weekend warrior, continued
Published by Becky S June 12th, 2005 in travelsWow, so this is nature. Specifically, this is the Upper Delaware river, near Lackawaxen, PA (New York is over on the left). The water was so warm and inviting that I didn’t mind falling off the dock onto swarms of tadpoles.
Please, a moment of silence for the tadpoles who will never fulfill their froggy destiny.

That does look really nice.
It was fantastic, Glenn! I do feel bad about the tadpoles, though.
I once accidentally stepped on a grown frog at the Bronx zoo. (was running through the ’swamplad’ exhibit. Felt bad about that for weeks, so I know where you’re coming from.
Actually, Glenn, it’s worse to step on a frog than on a tadpole, since there’s plenty of extra tadpoles…Mother Nature knows that they are likely to get stepped upon or eaten.
I know, I was trying to make you feel better about wiping out the next generation of tadpoles by telling my tragic tale.
A place like that is simply beautiful. Aye, it is.
