Max Raabe is coming to Philly! (plus secret mix of the week)

Sherri W reminds us that the one and only Max Raabe will be performing at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center on Thursday, December 1st.
It is a dream come true! Now I don’t have to do the original plan of chartering a Chinatown bus for Max’s Carnegie Hall show, which is beyond my organizational capabilities and also very dangerous*.
Though we all fell in love with Max Raabe’s big band renditions of Oops, I Did it Again and Sex Bomb, I suspect that December’s show will not feature the pop cover songs. But nevermind. The straight-up stylings of Palast Orchester are reason enough to mark your calendar.
Tickets are in the $30-$40 range (which does not include the Kimmel Center’s outrageous surcharge) and are on sale now. To celebrate the good news, there’s a new super-secret mix of the week.
*But it would be fast. It’s a well-known fact that the Chinatown bus can get from Center City Philadelphia to NYC faster than SEPTA can get from Fishtown to the Kimmel Center.

Have we been blessed with “Die Hits des Jahres” as the Super Secret Mix of the week? Oops - I did it again - revealed the secret. Lucky you, his Philadelphia stop isn’t even on their web site.
This is creeping me out!
Yes, but you can’t stop listening, can you?
