Name the bosses
Published by Becky S August 29th, 2005 in boss-across-the-hallThe no-blogging-about-the-two-bosses-downstairs rule is still in effect, but what if one or both of them happen to appear as incidental characters in a post? They deserve better nicknames than “boss downstairs number one” and “boss downstairs number two.”
What to name the new bosses?
- Jay and Silent Bob

- Weebl and Bob
- The Doobie Brothers
- Pinky and the Brain
- Thing 1 and Thing 2 (note to the ever-litigious Dr. Seuss’s estate: this item was Dan’s idea)

always partial to Tweedledee and Tweedledum but Thing 1 & Thing 2 works well.
I’m all for Thing 1 and Thing 2!
I love Pinky and the Brain, but I thing one and thing two might work too.
I love Pinky and the Brain too, but it would be a tricky process to decide which boss is Pinky and which boss is The Brain. Well, maybe not, since only one boss is in charge of the performance reviews.
I kinda like Jay and Silent Bob.
Jay and Silent Bob
Would it be too emasculating to refer to them as Donald and Martha? They have dueling apprentice shows this fall.
Why don’t you ask them?
It could be queally hard to decide who is Jay and who is Silent Bob.
I vote Pinky and the Brain.
Actually, if you know the bosses, it would not be hard to decide who is Jay and who is Silent Bob.
Pinky and The Brain!
Somehow, seems fitting for bosses.
Those are awesome. I’d vote for Jay and Silent Bob.
Pinky & The Braaaaain!
Weebl and Bob - or an inter-partner pairing of Weebl and Silent Bob.
Neither is insane, so I’m not sure whether Pinky and the Brain would fit. Neither of them is silent really either.
I like to refer to them as “it’s like My Two Dads but with managers” but I can see why that would get frustratingly long. On that theme, though, how about Paul Reiser and that George-Michael-looking-guy?
Whoa–Weebl and Silent Bob? Mixing and matching the duos? A bold suggestion by Type E.
If you click on the name “Erin” above, you can see a picture of what she’s talking about. Tricky! I like the My Two Dads references, but it’s a long name to type.
BTW, Ryan, George Michael is a famous singer whose career peaked sometime before you were born.
New entry and my vote, Jekyll & Hyde.(image, which apparently can’t be loaded via an img tag in a comment…).
